Mark C. Hanewich, Esq

Mr. Hanewich is a partner at Tannenbaum Scro Hanewich & Alpert. He practices within a real estate and corporate team composed of Mr. Hanewich, firm attorney Salvatore Scro, and paralegal Jeanette Bowdell, in the areas of commercial and residential real property transactions for individuals, businesses and developers in all phases of real estate from acquisition through mortgage financing, development, sales and leasing. The team has extensive experience representing a wide range of banks, financial institutions and mortgage lenders in connection with loans secured by commercial, residential, and industrial real estate. More particularly, the group’s practice encompasses purchase and sale contract negotiation and preparation, title examination and title insurance, closing services including deed, mortgage and related document preparation.
Mr. Hanewich was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1959. He graduated from Columbia University in New York City in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Mr. Hanewich graduated from Boston College Law School in 1984 with a Juris Doctor degree. He was admitted to the Rhode Island Bar in 1984, the Massachusetts Bar in 1985, and the Florida Bar in 1990.
Mr. Hanewich also practices corporate law, representing entities such as partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations from entity formation, preparation of partnership and operating agreements, to oversight and preparation of documentation necessary to observe the formalities necessary to preserve the separate identity of the entity apart from the individual.
Originally from Massachusetts, Hanewich comes to Tannenbaum Scro Hanewich & Alpert as a former partner at Nelson Hesse, LLP, practicing in real estate related matters. Attracted to the Florida climate and lifestyle, he and his family settled in the Sarasota area in the year 2000.
